I cannot say enough good things about Standard Heating and Cooling! Our furnace would not work—actually had been a couple weeks and we had been making due with some small electric oil heaters. But it had gotten much colder and they could not keep up. I have a limited budget and high anxiety for such emergencies. I put out a distress FB post for a competent, reasonably priced HVAC company on 12/13. I received one reply in the form of a text that evening from a friend (Adriane), who actually works at Standard (Who knew!?) She did everything! Asked me a few questions and set up a service call for me. She told me she wasn’t sure when they could come, but they would squeeze me in. I received a call bright and early on 12/14 and the technician, Allen, arrive within 30 minutes and went promptly to work figuring out the problem. Allen was cheerful, funny and very professional, but most importantly VERY KNOWLEGIBLE. He walked us through all the steps as he started and completed them. After he found the main problem and fixed that, he continued to search and ended up cleaning our unit—boy did it need it!!!! We are now toasty warm with no need for little heaters and sweaters! The air flow is better than it’s been in years! Thank you ever so much Adriane, Allen and Standard Heating and Cooling! So grateful for your prompt, quality and caring service! My furnace went out on me last year during the polar vortex. I called numerous HVAC companies but due to the type of system I had, nobody was willing to help. Standard Heating & Cooling was the only company willing to help, and they did. They even provided me with space heaters so I didn't freeze while waiting for the parts and equipment to come in that was needed to fix my system. I would still be without a heating system if it weren't for them.
